Notice on Battery Disposal

Environmentally Responsible Disposal of Batteries and Accumulators

In connection with the sale of batteries and rechargeable accumulators, we as a retailer are legally obliged to inform you about the proper handling and disposal of these products. Please note that batteries and accumulators must not be disposed of with household waste. As an end user, you are legally required to return used batteries to an appropriate collection point.

Return Options

You can return used batteries free of charge at our store, at a municipal collection point, or at local retailers. You also have the option of sending used batteries back to us free of charge.

Labeling of Hazardous Batteries

Hazardous batteries are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out wheeled bin. Beneath this symbol you will find the chemical abbreviation of the heavy metal contained:

  • Cd = Cadmium
  • Hg = Mercury
  • Pb = Lead

By returning used batteries responsibly, you contribute to protecting the environment and ensuring that valuable raw materials can be safely recycled.
